Tickets are on sale now at The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia Thrift Shop (434 S. Woodland Blvd., DeLand) and at The Elusive Grape (133 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand) for “Wine to Water” – a popular fundraiser for The Neighborhood Center.
Proceeds from each ticket sold for “Wine to Water” will go to The Neighborhood Center’s water fund to help prevent homelessness. Each ticket pays water bills for two families for a month. Since its first event in 2013, Wine to Water has collected nearly $70,000 for The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia.
The Wine to Water fundraiser will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Monday, August 6, at The Elusive Grape. A limited number of tickets to the event are available for $100 each, and include food, wine, entertainment and five raffle tickets. The event is organized by volunteer Gery Walker, who has been chairing the event for six years. Rotary Club of Downtown DeLand members prepare and serve the custom menu.
