Always Improving and Moving Forward

It’s been a year since we won the IndependentWeStand.org’s America’s MainStreet Contest.  What fun that was!  It’s been a great year all around.  Not only have we continued to have successful events, we have expanded our efforts better serve our downtown merchants, property owners, and anyone who wants to enjoy our Downtown.

We improved our office and conference room to include a reasonably “Smart Room”.  This makes it easy for our partners, members, and merchants who use the conference room to enjoy 21st technology for training.  We also have a new website that not only lists upcoming events but provides resources to existing and to prospective businesses looking for space in the Downtown.  The new website is much more mobile friendly than our old website and it’s never been easier to purchase tickets, make donations, or join MainStreet DeLand Association.

We are moving forward with the mural honoring long-term downtown DeLand icon, Rufus Pinkney.  Donations for the mural can be made at www.MainStreetDeLand.org or checks mailed to: MainStreet DeLand Association, memo Rufus Mural and mailed to 100 N. Woodland Blvd, Ste.4, DeLand 32720.

Our new website lists our monthly up coming events.  We are also hard at work on our larger annual events.  If you would like to promote your business and support a great event, we are currently looking for sponsors for upcoming 2018-2019 events.  Contact us at the MSDA office at 386-738-0649.  We will be glad to put together a sponsorship package that suits your needs.

Congratulations to all of our graduating seniors.  Well done!  We wish you much success and hope that your future brings you and your skills back to DeLand.  Also, kudos go out to Stetson Baseball.  Thank you for an amazing season and bringing positive attention to your university and to Downtown DeLand.

Visit our new website at www.MainStreetDeLand.org to stay up to date on what’s happening in Downtown DeLand.
