Website, Eblast and Social Media Policies for Event Submissions

 
We are fortunate to have a very active and vibrant community, and we receive a large number of event submissions. To keep our communications with the public effective and manageable, we limit the listing/posting of events on our website, eblast and social media to the following.


Website
Our online calendar of events found at, mainstreetdeland.org/calendar, is a way for us to highlight the fun and exciting events that take place in our beautiful downtown. We list our events and accept submissions from our members for their the large annual events such as festivals, parades, annual fundraisers, grand openings, etc. These events must take place in Downtown DeLand. All submissions are subject to approval.

Eblast
The MainStreet DeLand Association sends out a once weekly eblast to our members and members of the community who have requested to receive it. We list our events and accept submissions from our members for their the large annual events such as festivals, parades, annual fundraisers, grand openings, etc. taking place in DeLand. Special consideration is given to events presented by local nonprofits. All submissions are subject to approval.
 

Social Media

Our social media accounts are a way for us to communicate with the community on an ongoing basis. We post our events and accept submissions from our members for their the large annual events such as festivals, parades, annual fundraisers, grand openings, etc. taking place in DeLand. Special consideration is given to events presented by local nonprofits. All submissions are subject to approval. 

 

Event submissions are sent to info@mainstreetdeland.org. All submissions are subject to approval. Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, we cannot guarantee that all events will be listed/posted. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
