Reopening Safely

Congratulations to our graduating seniors! While it seems Covid-19 changed almost everything, watching the creative ways people have found to honor your achievements have created new type of memories. Whether you are ending your high school or your college career, we hope that DeLand is becoming the town you will want to come back to.

Downtown DeLand continues to reopen. Still with limited capacity, shops and restaurants want to welcome you back to your downtown. By being cautious and continuing to follow CDC guidelines we look forward to the reopening of all of our businesses and entertainment venues. Curbside pickup and takeout are still available. Our businesses thank you for your support during the crisis.

MainStreet DeLand has expanded its Economic Vitality committee to bring in broader participation to help bring downtown back as quickly as possible. We will continue to focus on the proven successful Main Street Approach to revitalization. New committee members bring new ideas and a renewed energy during this important transition.

As you know, Special Events have been placed on hold. We look forward to their return, but for now our focus is to support and enhance the continuing economic development of Downtown DeLand while protecting and promoting its historic heritage. We want to help strengthen our businesses and to help you feel comfortable at being a part of your downtown once again.
