Experience an intimate glimpse into the life of Catherine Stewart Howarth Carter, a pioneering woman who exemplified strength and determination in early 20th century DeLand. Born in 1913 during the Roaring Twenties, Catherine earned her law degree from Stetson University at just 20 years old and went on to become the 112th woman admitted to the Florida Bar. This accomplished attorney, businesswoman, and advocate for women's rights balanced professional achievements with family life while maintaining her passion for languages and literature. Mary Selter of the DeLand House Players brings Catherine's remarkable story to life in this captivating performance.
