It's Event Season

Fall is here, finally! Last week’s DeLand Craft Show experienced beautiful weather with lower humidity. We hosted around 130 vendors and several thousand others over the weekend. Thanks to the vendors, volunteers and attendees for a successful event.

The Craft Show kicks off our event season. We’ll be non-stop for the next several months. Our monthly events and activities like Wine, Women, Chocolate and Build Your Business Group continue. But take a look at some of the other things that will be happening this month.

There’s an Indie Market in Artisan Alley on Sunday October 6th. On the 19th join us for the Nobel “Thin Man” Watts Jazz Festival. For tickets and info. go to www.WattsJazzFest.com. As we get close to Halloween there’s something new. In addition to our annual “Monsters on MainStreet”, we’ve teamed up with the Rotary Club of DeLand to build “Haunted Hollow”! Starting on October 23rd, this haunted house is going to be the must see for the season. You can go “Mild” or go “Wild”. Check out www.HauntedHollowDeLand.com for details.

November features our Volusia County Veterans Parade. Any Veterans or Veterans Groups should contact the Mainstreet office at 738-0649 or email: info@MainStreetDeLand.org. We look forward to honoring Volusia County’s Veterans.

All this information and more is available at the MainStreetDeLand.org website. We continue to work to fulfill our mission of supporting and enhancing the continuing economic development of downtown DeLand while promoting its historic heritage.

Our website can direct you to our businesses and members and can also link you to walking tours like our Historic Mural tour or to links to download apps for Florida Stories- Walk DeLand. If you’re looking for retail or office space in downtown DeLand, click on our business link.

There’s always something going at MainStreet DeLand. Remember, buy local every chance you get! We look forward to seeing you downtown!
