Light Up DeLand 2026
The holiday season comes to life in Downtown DeLand on Friday, December 4, as the City of DeLand and MainStreet DeLand Association welcome the community for Light Up DeLand, one of the city's most anticipated holiday traditions.
Bring the family and experience an evening filled with festive entertainment, holiday activities, and the sights and sounds of the season. Enjoy ice skating, live holiday music, and Santa's Workshop, where children can take part in Christmas crafts and activities. Families will also have opportunities to visit with Santa and capture a few special holiday photos.
Of course, the highlight of the evening is a DeLand tradition unlike any other. Forget the sleigh and reindeer! Santa makes his grand entrance by skydiving into Downtown DeLand before helping light the city's Christmas tree in front of the historic Volusia County Courthouse. It's a moment that brings the community together and officially welcomes the holiday season.
While you're downtown, take time to enjoy the festive decorations and twinkling lights that are part of Winter Wonder DeLand. Explore the locally owned boutiques, specialty shops, restaurants, and businesses that make Historic Downtown DeLand such a special place to celebrate the holidays. It's also a wonderful opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas shopping while supporting local businesses.
