Kicking Off a New Year in Downtown DeLand.
A new year brings fresh momentum downtown, and January is already shaping up to be an exciting and impactful month for MainStreet DeLand and our community and I’m excited to tell you about it!
We’ll kick things off on Monday, January 12, with our Annual Member & Board Installation Meeting. This important annual gathering is a chance to reflect on the year behind us, formally welcome and install our incoming 2026 Board members and officers, and share a clear vision for the year ahead. All members are encouraged to attend. Your voice, engagement, and perspective help shape the direction of our work.
Cost is $35 and can be paid on our website, in our office, or at the meeting. Members will receive a mailed letter and an email with RSVP and purchase information.
Just a few days later, we’ll shift into celebration mode with one of downtown’s most anticipated signature events: the DeLand Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, January 17. Moving from April to cooler January, this beloved event brings residents and visitors into downtown DeLand to enjoy
craft beer from across Florida and beyond, live music, and the vibrant atmosphere that makes our historic district shine.
General Admission and VIP tickets are available on our website now, and we encourage early purchase. Proceeds directly support MainStreet DeLand’s mission to preserve, promote, and enhance our downtown. Every ticket poured helps reinvest in the heart of our community.
Volunteers needed: The large events we produce don’t happen without community support. We are currently seeking volunteers for beer pours, check-in, and other event support. If you’ve ever wondered how these events come together, this is a great way to get involved. For information on these opportunities, visit mainstreetdeland.org and find the “Volunteer” button to sign up for updates.
As we begin 2026, I also invite you to engage more deeply with MainStreet’s work through our Point Committees, which are the backbone of our nationally recognized MainStreet 4-Point Approach™:
Economic Vitality – supporting downtown businesses, entrepreneurship, and reinvestment
Design – preserving our historic character while enhancing public spaces
Promotion – creating events, marketing, and experiences that bring people downtown
Organization – building strong partnerships, leadership, and sustainable operations
These committees are where the real work – and real impact – happens. Whether you’re passionate about events, historic preservation, business development, or community building, there is a place for you at this table.
And, of course, if you are interested in sponsoring events or donating to our 501(c)(3) charitable cause, contact our office for all the details. We’ll be happy to help you out!
As we step into 2026, our focus, and our newly adopted Mission Statement, has never been more clear: Nurturing the heartbeat of DeLand, for ALL. Thank you for being a part of this work.
See you Downtown DeLand.
