Fall is Here!

Fall is here! Last week’s DeLand Craft Show helped us kick off our event season. While there are a few events that may have to wait a bit longer, we continue to work to bring our Special Events back. Our Craft Show was smaller and used a different footprint this year yet we were still able to bring a few thousand people to downtown. Thanks to the vendors, volunteers and attendees for making the event a success!

We look forward to once again honoring Volusia County’s Veterans at the Volusia County Veterans Parade on November 13th. Any Veteran or Veterans Groups can register online at www.MainStreetDeLand.org or contact the Mainstreet office at 386-738-0649. Help us spread the word to get as many veterans signed up for the parade as we can.

We are excited that the Fall Festival of the Arts is returning to Woodland Blvd. on November 20th and 21st! Interested in volunteering? You came to the right place. All this information and more is available at the MainStreetDeLand.org website.

Our website can direct you to our businesses and members and can also link you to walking tours like our Historic Mural tour or to links to download apps for Florida Stories- Walk DeLand. There are also links to resources that businesses can use. There’s even a link if you want to find a spot to open a business in downtown.

We’ve said goodbye to Desiree Freeland, our Special Events and Promotions Coordinator of 5 years, who is pursuing new challenges. We wish her well in her new adventure. That means that MainStreet is now searching for someone. Check out the job description at www.MainStreetDeLand.org/employment.
